Brighton Animal Hospital was founded in 1928 by patriarch P. J. Callanan and Dr.
Bourke, DVM. Thus began one of the most successful animal care facilities in the
Boston area. As the years went by the sons Kevin, Tommy and Robert Callanan took
over and continued the tradition. Over the years many of the Callanan family have
worked and grown up surrounded by the city's pets. Now, the third generation of
Callanan's: Joseph, Chris, Chad, Jon, Neil, Monica and many other cousins,
brothers, and sisters are proudly carrying on the tradition.
We have come a long
way since our fathers and grandfathers educated us in caring for your companion
animals. Now in our third generation of Callanan care we have expanded to several
animal hospitals and pet care facilities throughout New England.
We invite you to be part of our family, let us provide the same care that you would
expect for the ones you love and cherish.
