John de Jong, D.V.M. is our Chief of Staff.

John de Jong, D.V.M. is our Chief of Staff. A 1985 graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. de Jong's primary interest is in surgery and he also owns and operates the Boston Mobile Veterinary Clinic. He is past-president of the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association and is in the leadership of the New England Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association.

A former columnist for the Boston Herald, he can be heard regularly on talk radio answering pet questions. Among his numerous awards he was personally recognized by Boston Magazine and the Improper Bostonian as Boston's Best Veterinarian. His outside interests include politics, fishing, golf and rugby. Often seen with his black lab, Zale, he enjoys family time with his wife and two young sons.

 

 

Joanne Keith D.V.M.

Joanne Keith D.V.M. has been an associate veterinarian at Neponset Animal Hospital since 1999. She is a 1994 graduate of the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Keith has a strong interest in internal medicine. Dr. Keith can often be found walking in the area with her dogs, Chloe and Gina. Gina is the newest addition to the Keith family after the recent passing of Pudgie, her beloved dog.

Outside of work, Dr. Keith enjoys many outdoor activities including swimming, kayaking and rollerblading.

 

 

 

 

Anne E. Domit, D.V.M., M.S.

Anne E. Domit, D.V.M., M.S. is a 1996 graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she completed in internship in Theriogenology in 1998. Dr. Domit then worked as a consultant in small animal theriogenology at Tufts for an additional two years. She also holds a Master's degree in Animal Science from the University of Vermont, with a concentration in microbiology. Dr. Domit has been an associate veterinarian at Neponset Animal Hospital since 2003. She has interests in both surgery and emergency/critical care medicine.

Outside of work Dr. Domit enjoys showing her English Setter, Nigel, who is an AKC champion (among other things). She can often be found competing in both the obedience and conformation rings with her dogs. Prior to veterinary school, she taught canine obedience classes and her first labrador was nationally ranked at all three levels of obedience.

 

Laetita.M. Henry, D.V.M.Laetitia.M. Henry, D.V.M., a 1998 graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, has been an associate veterinarian at Neponset Animal Hospital since 2001. She has a strong interest in internal medicine and opthalmology.

She enjoys spending time with her growing family and her five pets. Her outside interests include snowshoeing, reading and cooking.

 

 

Melissa Keck DVM is a 2005 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to general practice, she has a strong interest in ministry and overseas mission work. She completed a Masters of Missions and Evangelism at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Dr. Keck enjoys running, hiking and reading.

 

Dr. Kamath

Vaishali (Shelly) Kamath DVM is a 2008 graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine.  She completed a rotating internship at VCA Darien in Connecticut after graduating, where she gained experience in emergency and internal medicine.  She has an interest in volunteering, and has been a veterinary volunteer in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Appalachia. 

Outside of work, Dr. Kamath likes running, traveling, cooking, and trying to keep her cat, Homer, entertained.

Diana Watkins, D.V.M. is a 2010 graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Watkins was president of Tufts’ student chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association. She also completed an extensive externship in surgery where she performed surgeries for two different non-profit shelter organizations. She has just recently joined the group at Neponset Animal Hospital, and her strongest interests lie in geriatric medicine as well as surgery. She believes that caring for our pets in their "golden years" is one of the most rewarding things we can do.

Outside of work, Dr. Watkins enjoys horseback riding, hiking, running, and spending time with her husband Matt, her cat Skunk, her turtle Amos, and her dog Rudy.
